About Us
Wakibou and Moussouratou Damiya, husband and wife, founded DDDT in 2013. They run DDDT with the support of three further Trustees. All board members were born in Togo and now live in the UK. They have the passion and commitment to help the vulnerable and underprivileged living in the Djarkpanga region of Togo. They work closely with the Worldwide Disaspora (the ex-pat community) to raise funds to provide essentials to the people living in the Djarkpanga region today. They work closely with the Leadership Company in Togo to ensure the best help is provided where it is needed.
Moussouratou Damiya
Founder & Trustee
Moussouratou Damiya founded DDDT (Diaspora Development of Djarkpanga, Togo) and joined the board in 2013. She founded the organisation with her husband, Wakibou Damiya.
She was born and raised in Togo and lived in Germany for four years before coming to the UK in 2008. Her journey has taken her to a place where she has committed to helping the vulnerable and underprivileged who live in Togo, specifically the Djarkpanga region, today.
She is passionate about and values people and wellbeing and has a special interest and expertise in promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. Moussouratou is also experienced in supporting community and stakeholder engagement, and in values-led organisational and leadership development.
In addition to working with the DDDT (Diaspora Development of Djarkpanga Togo), she has been enjoying helping kids and the communities in her regional and local level.
Her skills include decorations and taking care of kids both at home and at school. Previously, she has worked as diner lady in schools. Her hobbies include going to park with my kids, she enjoys reading and cooking.
Moussouratou lives in Derby with her husband, Wakibou and their four children.
Wakibou Damiya
Founder & Trustee
Wakibou Damiya founded DDDT (Diaspora Development of Djarkpanga, Togo) and joined the board in 2013. He founded the organisation with his wife, Moussouratou Damiya after volunteering in a small organisation back in his village in Togo to help underprivileged children for one year.
Wakibou was born and raised in Togo and lived in Germany for 12 years before coming to the UK in 2006. His journey has taken him to a place where he had committed to helping the vulnerable and underprivileged who live in Togo, specifically the Djarkpanga region, today.
He is passionate about values, people and wellbeing, and has a special interest and expertise in promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. Wakibou is also experienced in supporting community and stakeholder engagement, and in values-led organisational and leadership development.
In addition to working with the DDDT (Diaspora Development of Djarkpanga Togo), he has worked with the Jed Afrique (Jeunesse Education D’Afrique) and the communities . He has also worked with many other organisations at a national, regional and local level.
Wakibou’s skills include driving and decoration. Previously, he has worked as a Domestic Assistant. His hobbies include sports, swimming and cooking.
Wakibou lives in Derby with his wife, Moussouratou, and their four children.
Alassani Sadikou
Trustee
I joined the board in 2014.
I was born and lived in Togo. I have been in the UK since 2001. I had committed to helping the vulnerable and underprivileged people who live in Togo.
I’m passionate about values, people and well-being, and have a special interest in promoting equality, and diversity. That was why I joined the DDDT to be able to do more.
I am also experienced in supporting community and leadership development.
In addition to working with the DDDT (Diaspora Development of Djarkpanga Togo), I have been enjoying helping the unprivileged people around Lome (Togo).
My skills include painting and small repairs around the house. I work as a Security officer.
My hobbies include driving and spending time with my family.
I live in Derby with my wife and our 4 children.
Wourohakondo Daro Scharoua
Trustee
I joined the board in 2014 after seeing the good work the DDDT were doing in our community.
I was born in Togo, lived in Germany for 17 years before coming to the UK in 2009. I have been doing some charity work by helping unprivileged people from my community (Lome).
I’m passionate about promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. I’m also experienced in supporting communities in need.
In addition to working with the DDDT (Diaspora Development of Djarkpanga Togo), I have worked with other organisations and communities at a national level.
My skills include Driving Buses and construction. Previously, I worked as a Security officer.
My hobbies include Sports, Reading, and Travelling.
I live and work in London.
Raki Memoko
Trustee
Raki Memoko is committed to helping the underprivileged kids who live in Togo. Raki was born in Togo and lived there until he moved to the UK in 2018. She currently lives in Derby with her partner and their Son.
She is passionate about values, and has a drive in promoting equality and diversity. It is because of that she joined the DDDT (Diaspora Development of Djarkpanga Togo) to be able to do more.
Raki is working in healthcare sector in addition to working with the DDDT. Her skills include Home DIY and Crafts. Raki’s hobbies include going for long drives, sports, cycling, reading and cooking.
Awale Ouro-Bawinay
Trustee
Awale joined the Board in 2023 after seeing the good work the DDDT were doing in our community. He was born in Togo and now lives in Germany.
He is passionate about promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. He also has experience in supporting communities in need.
In addition to working with the DDDT (Diaspora Development of Djarkpanga Togo), Awale has worked with other organisations and communities at a national level.
